Finance Manager / Controller

We are working exclusively with Manchester-based Education company however, due to Covid 19 you will be working from home for the foreseeable future.

Due to very rapid growth, they are now seeking a permanent Finance Controller / Manager to take over the day to day running of the office and manage the throughput of the department. This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant to take the lead in a growing company. The company also offers worldwide travel and short secondments to their overseas offices to head up projects and share best practices.

The ideal candidate is hands-on with the ability to work on their own initiative as due to time zones support is not always readily available. This is a fast-paced office where you will be required to challenge the status quo and change is part of success.

The main duties of the position are :

• Xero experience
• Financial Audit experience
• Forecasting and budgeting for government projects/tenders or similar complex and large scale work
• Ability to work independently, use initiative, and be innovative (new processes, technology, etc).
• Payroll, taxation and financial statement preparation experience
• Credit Rating Agency experience i.e. Dun & Bradstreet,
• Tendering for government contracts
• Managing service level agreements
