Management Accountant

A growing manufacturing company based in Kendal are in the envious position of recruiting for a management accountant to join their energetic finance team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for providing support to the Finance Controller and finance team. To keep accurate and up to date records of the company's cash transactions. Ideally as Management Accountant you will be studying towards your CIMA / ACCA or be a recently passed finalist.

Duties will include :

• Month end review of regional jobs to assess WIP & Accrual requirements, working closely with the Operational Manager. Ability to provide clear explanation of the monthly CM achieved for each reportable region.
• Month end review of cost centres/operations. Ability to provide clear explanation of any variances from expectations.
• Monthly review of SG&A - analysis provided for any variances to budget and accruals & prepayment adjustments as required.
• Responsibility for the preparation and posting of specific accounting journals required for 1st draft of management accounts.
• Ensure the company has fully provided for sales commissions & rebates in line with specific contracts

As the Management Accountant you will have exceptional organisational skills and have strong IT skills in particular Excel. On offer is a highly competitive salary with company bonus and 25 days holiday.
