HR Manager

Agility is working in partnership with an ambitious organisation known for their excellent reputation, based in the centre of Preston. Due to the business expanding, they are seeking a committed HR Manager to join the team and lead the way with employee job satisfaction and policy implementation. The ideal candidate will have brilliant interpersonal skills whilst championing the values of the company, namely integrity and excellence in every aspect of the company.

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent, alternative experience will be considered where relevant
  • 4 years' experience in HR, management experience will be essential
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and policies
  • Proven track record of successful case management
  • 2 years' experience using HR software such as I-Auditor and ADP Workforce

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Able to implement policies with successful, measurable impacts such as KPI's
  • Handle cases for over 100 employees and liaise with other managers and departments to find effective resolutions
  • Review company policies and amend them where necessary, directly influencing presentations and meetings in the implementation of said policies
  • Carry out investigations into disciplinaries and appeals and create reports on their progression
  • Coordinate appraisals with other managers to give the best support possible
  • Wide range of admin duties such as resolving issues with staff payroll, analysing absence reports and advising on bonuses for staff

The Ideal candidate will have the following traits:

  • Strong sense of integrity and adept interpersonal skills with difficult or sensitive cases
  • Embodies the company values in their approach with employees and reflects this in their strategy
  • Highly organised and efficient in delegating tasks, especially understanding how best to prioritise tasks within a team
  • Able to balance knowledge of law with empathy for employees and implement policies in such a way that all parties involved are satisfied
