We are delighted to be working again with one of my favourite clients based in Sale, Manchester who due to growth are looking for a Senior Credit Controller to join them.

The type of person we need is very strong in organisation with the ability to manage a busy team of credit controllers. Exposure to recruitment industry would be very helpful. Someone with the ability to follow processes well and who can think for themselves. Woking on over 300 live clients trading at £10M monthly, so the ledger is very large and has a very quick turnaround in terms of invoice to payment.

As a senior member of the credit control team you will have the responsibility for collections and managing high end accounts. This is hands-on role in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work to tight deadlines
  • Take ownership of collection for a specific section of the accounts receivable ledger
  • Liaising with and chasing external Clients for payments
  • Liaising with Stakeholders
  • Support the Team with cash postings, allocations, and reconciliations
  • Query resolution on outstanding debt
  • Provide regular reports relating to cash collection and other KPI's to the Credit Control Manager as requested
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date customer details and account records.
  • Ensuring the company Credit Check Process is adhered to across the businesses
  • Experience with billing and Self Billing Accounts
  • Excellent reconciliation skills, cash posting, account reconciling
  • Experience Master Data Set Up and Account Cleansing

Desirable skills/experience:

  • Minimum of 2-year experience as a Senior Credit Controller
  • Experience of supervising a team 4-5.
  • High standard of numeracy, accuracy, and IT systems
  • Good knowledge of MS Office products especially Excel essential
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to recognize potential risks & concerns and escalate these to the Credit Manager
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work well under pressure
