• Starting Salary up to £27,000
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5
• Location: Manchester

Agility is delighted to be working with a new client that is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team.

This role is available due to the expansion and growth of the company and you will be joining a team of 4 and would be working very closely with the Management Accountant and Financial Controller, gaining knowledge and support.

The Assistant Accountant's role is transactional Ledger based including credit control checks and reconciliations, ensuring that information is accurate and correct. This role will give you exposure to transactional accounting and will help develop you in your career, progressing into an all-rounded accounting role including Management Accounts.

What you will be doing:

• Reconcile daily sales data against payments received
• Query resolution engaging with internal and external stakeholders
• Processing all authorised purchase invoices
• Input bank transactions, post bank transactions and report cash balances
• Assist with month-end procedures and reconciliations, adhering to strict deadlines
• Provide cover and support within the wider finance team
• Ad-hoc work as assigned

About you:

• Ability to prioritise workloads and achieve tight deadlines working in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent IT literacy, ideally with strong excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to communicate with finance and non-finance colleagues
• Ability to be flexible within the role
• Manage high volumes of transactions
• Ability to be flexible within the role
• Understanding of accounting principles
