We are working with a dynamic manufacturing company with installations across the UK, Th company has grown through symbiotic acquisitions and due to an internal promotion is now seeking a can-do Management Accountant to take over this position.

What the role is

The Management Accountant is the key finance business partner for several facilities in the UK. This position will report directly to the Group Finance Business Partner. This role will require accurate finance control and will certainly develop your business acumen.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Month-end responsibilities including:
    • Managing fixed asset register and posting monthly depreciation
    • Posting Month End Journals, prepayments, and accruals
    • Overhead Analysis
    • Monthly WIP review
    • Cost to Completes
    • Balance Sheet reconciliations
    • Analyse and provide commentary on monthly financial accounts.
    • Assist with monthly management packs.
  • Assist with purchase ledger and sales ledger including raising sales invoices, chasing payments, posting of invoices, payment queries, weekly payment runs, processing expenses, etc.
  • PO Maintenance, on hold report
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and quarterly budgets.
  • Assist with year-end and audit.
  • Helping with any other ad-hoc work
  • Travel to each of the facilities is required.

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Part/Fully CIMA or ACCA qualified
  • Advanced level of competence with Microsoft Excel
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role is a must-have.
  • Ability to hit the ground running.
  • Logical thinker, who can work on their own initiative.
  • You will possess a 'can-do' attitude, with a high level of attention to detail, enabling the preparation of high-quality management accounts and insight.
  • You will be responsible for identifying and implementing processes to enhance controls, reduce manual intervention to drive departmental efficiencies.
  • Highly numerate with clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adept at prioritising workload effectively and meeting deadlines.
  • Capable of building strong, professional working relationships.
  • Driving Licence as you will be required to visit alternative sites.
