Agility Resourcing are recruiting for one of our client based in Salford

We are looking for a Finance Analyst to oversee the financial management and analysis of a substantial £800 million turnover business. At the heart of operations, they empower National Account Managers and the broader business by providing crucial commercial and financial insights, support, management, and control.

As a pivotal player in this role, you will cultivate close relationships with National Account Managers, ensuring the production of clear and timely information. By arming Account Managers with this data, you enable them to optimize the profitability of their accounts.

Your responsibilities extend to delving into market insights and interpreting trading data, thereby offering essential commercial insights. This, in turn, empowers our sales teams to effectively manage and expand contracts within your sector. In essence, this is a genuine commercial role where your contributions directly impact profitability, encompassing key tasks such as:

  • Collaborating with and managing relationships with the sales team to fulfill stakeholder requirements.
  • Scrutinizing the profitability of customer accounts, collaborating with the sales and analyst team to enhance performance or devise exit strategies.
  • Supporting the sales team in significant business tenders, reviews, and re-tenders, including attending customer meetings and presenting commercial proposals.
  • Creating and reviewing forecasts promptly for accuracy.
  • Actively participating in the production of the National Accounts sales budget for your sector.
  • Overseeing the retro process end to end, encompassing routine retro reporting, payment processing, and balance sheet reconciliations for National Account customers.
  • Executing bi-annual price reviews with the sales teams to ensure a seamless process and deliver positive results.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Robust IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and confidently to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective time management skills, enabling you to meet short, multiple deadlines while upholding a high standard.
  • Strong attention to detail, coupled with the ability to interpret financial and logistical information.
