We're exclusively partnering with Finsbury Food Group PLC to recruit for their Finance Graduate scheme. Finsbury Food Group is a market leading baking manufacturer with a turnover of £350+ million. They constantly raise quality and efficiency standards and build long-term relationships with major multiple retailers and the foodservice channel; the likes of Tesco, Aldi, Costa and Thorntons. They make 75% of the UK's sharing cakes from retailer own brands cakes, tray bakes through to party cakes like Caterpillar cakes.

They have a very successful Finance Graduate scheme, where candidates have developed within the company on completion of their graduate scheme. They are now recruiting for their next graduate intakes.

Their 3-year Finance Graduate programme comprises of 3 placements lasting 12 months each, across the Finance function. The Finance function is there to support every step of the way across roles such as Cost Accounting, Commercial Finance, Operational Finance and/or Financial Planning and Analysis. Candidates will be spend time at the different factories on the 12-month rotation, requiring relocation; the locations are Sheffield, Cardiff and Glasgow.

The scheme will ensure you gain a well-rounded and broad experience to complement your studies (CIMA). This is a fast-paced working environment where you will gain exposure across all areas of the business and matrix leadership. On completion of the graduate scheme, you will find a role which suits your interests as a qualified finance professional.

The successful candidate will have a strong academic background (2:1), have excellent numeric and attention to detail skills. They'll be able to communicate effectively to build relationships across all areas of their business, along with demonstrating consistency and a desire to create a career for themselves.

Key responsibilities within this role would be as follows:

  • Weekly and monthly reporting of sales and procurement performance
  • Updating customer, technical and sales trackers
  • Maintaining sales prices list approvals
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly sales and purchasing journals
  • Lead product costing process engaging cross functionally with development, production and commercial teams
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Reconciliation of purchasing balance sheet accruals
  • Ad-hoc support on commercial and procurement scenarios and analysis

What we are looking for?

  • Predicted/degree in Accounting/Maths/Economics/Business etc (2:1 or above)
  • A placement year within a finance setting is desirable
  • A strong desire to attain a professional Finance qualification e.g. CIMA
  • Strong team engagement and relationship building skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • High levels of personal integrity
  • Hands-on approach with a solution minded outlook
  • Effective communicator
  • Enthusiastic and driven
