I am currently working with a manufacturing business in Blackburn who are looking for a HR Advisor for a 9 month period to fulfill a maternity cover contract. This is a complete generalist position that will see the HR Advisor getting involved in activities such as recruitment, sickness and absence management, disciplinaries and grievances, as well as acting as the first point of call for all HR queries.
You will have the opportunity to work under and learn from some very good HR leaders. However, expectations from the team are high so we are looking for someone who is able to evidence how they work on the front foot, use their initiative and work proactively.
You should be the type of person who pays great emphasis on attention to detail and getting things right the first time around. You should be comfortable with HR data, how to collate it and knowing what the information means (in terms of what actions are needed from it).
You must be CIPD Level 5 qualified (as a minimum), have a HR generalist background, and preferably have experience of working in a manufacturing environment previously. You will also need to be a car owner as there will be ad hoc travel to other sites too.
