I am working with a National organisation who are recruiting a HR Advisor to work at their shared service centre in Preston. This is a maternity cover contract, starting immediately and lasting until around Aug/Sept.
Working within a large HR team you will be responsible for providing telephone advice to line managers based across the UK. Therefore previous experience of providing HR advice and guidance over the phone is essential. You will be heavily involved in caseload management with a strong emphasis around supporting HR issues including discipline, grievance, absence management and performance management. You should have experience and capability of handling cases right through to gross misconduct / dismissal level.
You should be an effective communicator with an ability to clearly explain instruction and guidance to your stakeholders over the phone and via email. As you will be managing multiple cases at any one time there is also the need for the HR Advisor to have excellent organisational skills.
Any applicants must have previous experience in a HR Advisory role, with some telephone advisory experience included. You must also be either working towards or having achieved CIPD qualification.
The salary for this role is circa £25k with 26 days holiday (pro rata). Hours of work are 37.5 (9am - 5.30pm Mon-Fri).
