We are currently working with a manufacturing business who are seeking a HR Assistant for a 12 month maternity cover. The role will sit within their HR team and will be responsible for providing HR support with all HR administration as well as the management of their HR systems and generation of MI reports.
The position will lean more towards the handling of data and generation of reports on their various HR Systems, which include Kronos, Taleo, and Snowdrop, than it does towards more generalist HR. Therefore we are looking for someone who has operated in previous role where they have had significant involvement in a HR system. Previous knowledge of the systems listed above is not essential as that can be trained. What is critical is that you have had great exposure to working with a HR system previously.
You will be required to generate reports on time and attendance that is then used for payroll, generate reports around holidays, absenteeism, and headcount turnover. Strong Excel skills are highly desirable with a knowledge of Pivot tables and VLOOKUPS as ideal.
From a generalist HR perspective you will be the first point of contact for line managers, ensure understanding of policies and procedures and direct managers to where these are stored. You will be required to complete admin tasks such as generating letters for new starters, invitation to investigations/disciplinary hearings, pension updates, and contractual changes. You will need to liaise with hiring managers and recruitment agencies, and coordinate onboardings activities and inductions.
