An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well established business in Blackpol for a Qualified Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller this is a key position within the business to ensure provision of accurate monthly reporting, analysis & reconciliations in line with agreed timescales.

This is very much a hands on role with emphasis on people management with responsibility for 3 teams of operational finance teams.

Duties will include :

• Manage and develop the Finance team to ensure timely and accurate completion of all day to day accounting tasks, deliver accurate monthly results and departmental analysis to agreed group timescales and in line with group accounting policy, produce year-end accounts, assist with budgeting and forecasting, reporting and co-ordinate month-end checks including submission of VAT returns.
• Understand the cash cycle within the business and take responsibility to work with the Finance Director for cash flow management and forecasting.
• Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts.
• Improving internal efficiencies through process improvement and collaboration with internal and external teams.
• Report as required to external stakeholders.
• Administer and develop the accounting and other financial systems as required, including documentation of all accounting processes.
