A well established Accountancy firm based in Blackburn that supply all aspects of accountancy and business support services are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join their expanding team due to large client growth.

Key Job Function

This roles' primary function is to supply a tailored bookkeeping service to an existing client database.

Duties and Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the role include (but are not restricted to):

  • Undertake bookkeeping for clients in a timely and accurate manner
  • VAT returns
  • Dealing with queries by telephone, email and face to face
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Assist with the preparation of management accounts
  • Build excellent relationships with clients, resulting in long standing relationships
  • Actively work as part of the Company team.

Experience/Skills Required

  • The preferred candidate will have experience book keeping within an accounts practice environment
  • Working knowledge of SAGE and Xero (Full training will be offered to the right candidate)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-starting and motivated
  • Good team work ethos
  • Ability to prioritise and multi task


The successful candidate will have relevant bookkeeping experience and the ability to work on their own and in a team depending on the requirements.
