Assistant Accountant

My client is a professional services organization who are looking to bring in an Assistant Accountant to join their busy team.

You will join a busy, friendly and dynamic team and will be responsible for the sales and purchase ledger maintaining client and office ledgers to a high standard and working to clients individual requirements to support the business. They work with clients ranging from entrepreneurial business owners, private equity backed businesses, listed companies and large overseas groups. They advise on company sales, acquisitions, management buyouts, fundraising and also offer on-going strategic advice.

The successful Assistant Accountant will be responsible for the following :

• Responsibility for the purchase ledger including making payment runs
• Credit control duties including chasing outstanding debts and allocating cash
• Bank reconcilliations
• Processing payments
• Assist with month end close

Essential experience :

• 2 years experience in a finance function
• Ideally studying AAT
• Confident Excel usage
