Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk
Salary: £23,000 - £24,000
Location: Manchester, M9
Agility is delighted to be working with a manufacturing company based in Manchester. They are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team of 6, reporting into the Purchase Ledger Manager.
The main duties of the role include:
- Process invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
- Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries
- Process business expense returns
- Cashbook and petty cash cheques
- Processing BACS payments and preparing cheques
Person specification:
- Bookkeeping experience
- Great interpersonal and communications skills
- Self-discipline
- Good team working skills
- The ability to work to monthly deadlines
- An aptitude for IT - knowledge of software packages like Excel, Sage and BACS
