Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk

Salary: £23,000 - £24,000

Location: Kendal

Agility Resourcing are delighted to be working with a manufacturing company based in Kendal. They are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team of 6, reporting into the Purchase Ledger Manager.

The main duties of the role include:

  • Process invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
  • Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries
  • Process business expense returns
  • Cashbook and petty cash cheques
  • Processing BACS payments and preparing cheques

Person specification:

  • Previous purchase ledger experience
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills
  • Self-discipline
  • Good team working skills
  • The ability to work to monthly deadlines
  • An aptitude for IT - knowledge of software packages like Excel, Sage and BACS
