Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk

My client based in Manchester are looking for an experienced Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their expanding team to start immediately. You will assist and support the leadership, supervision and development of the Purchase Ledger Team in delivering a customer-focussed, efficient, and professional service. This is a fast-paced role and as such a lot of changes and updates within the business can be last minute, so being organised and working under pressure is a must, along with very good Excel skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a flexible and adaptable attitude are also equally as important.

Key requirements:

  • Daily review of queried invoices, debit balances and unapproved invoices to ensure all queries are resolved
  • Regular review of any repeat issues within the team to identify and resolve any knowledge gaps
  • Maintaining the Purchase Ledger reporting outputs
  • Maintaining all operational aspects of the account payable ledger and the specific allocated supplier accounts
  • Responsible for a portfolio of suppliers, with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Handling and resolving queries within a timely manner through effective communication, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Pro-actively seeking to improve or create processes that benefit all involved parties
