Our client a fast growing company are looking for an experienced Qualified Management Accountant to complement the finance team.

You will be responsible for supporting the FD in delivering financial reporting across the group. Ensuring financial reporting is accurate, complete and in line with monthly and annual deadlines.

Knowledge & Expertise

  • Advanced financial accounting skills - preparation of group accounts to re-consolidation stage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Able to lead a small team, work with no supervision and under pressure to regular deadlines
  • Able to consistently deliver work to a high standard
  • Must be driven, enthusiastic and positive
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information in a professional manner
  • Preparation and review of monthly financial statements & monthly board packs
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts for non-audit companies
  • Preparation and submission of monthly and annual PNC audit information
  • Preparation of year end external audit file
  • Liaise with and assist external auditors and professional advisers
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Liaise with VAT consultants to maximise VAT recovery
  • Liaise with Corporation Tax advisers and ensure timely payment of liability and filing of returns
  • Prepare financial models and forecasts on an ad hoc basis as required
  • Review and authorise invoices for payment
  • Act as signatory on company bank accounts, make payments when necessary
  • Cash management - manage PNC facility and ensure adequate funding available
  • Liaise with key suppliers and push for cost reduction where appropriate
  • Ad hoc project work around fee modelling, revenue recognition and fee maximisation
  • Prepare annual Group budgets with the Finance Director
  • Maintain statutory books, update statutory records at Companies House, submit annual returns

Qualification /Experience

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified
  • At least 5 years' experience in practice or a relevant finance role
  • At least 2 years' post-qualification experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Previous experience of managing a small team
