I am currently recruiting for a client based in the Leyland area who are looking for an Accounts Assistant, this would be a permanent position working a 37 hour working week. This company is experiencing year on year growth and are looking to expand their team, this pivotal position would suit someone who is hands on and has a keen eye for detail as it will be primarily dealing with Purchase Ledger and Payroll. The key responsibilities are as follows:
- The processing of expenses and purchase ledger invoices, matching to receipted purchase orders, in line with our general ledger structure
- To liaise with suppliers and internal departments with regard to invoice and payment queries
- The production of monthly payrolls for c1200 employees to strict deadlines in a zero error environment
- The maintenance all payroll adjustments including starters and leavers information
- Ensuring that all Time & Attendance users approve their timecards to the agreed schedule
- Ensuring that all relevant terms & conditions are applied to the payroll and that the Time & Attendance System is updated accordingly
- The maintenance of statutory records (e.g. SSP/SPP/SMP) and pension records
- The production of HMRC returns to strict deadlines
- Liaison with HMRC, DWP and Auditors on payroll issues
- The provision of a payroll advisory service as required
