Company Accountant

Description

This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding organisation in North Blackpool. Your key responsibility is auditing accounts, providing financial advice and undertaking accounts management and administration. This role requires looking after organisational finances and implementing strategies to improve profitability. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring Companies' financial performance, forecasting and planning future spending and profits. The Accountant is required to be competent in a number of areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare profit and loss statements on behalf of a business
• Set up accounting practices and procedures and advise how to manage these
• Analyse budgets and other financial information
• Help to produce budgets for Companies and implement strategies for cost savings
• Ensure Companies accounts and tax returns are prepared and filed correctly and on time
• Oversee the Companies' payroll, credit control and bookkeeping systems
• Audit financial information and compiling with reports, business plans and financial statements
• Financial forecasting and risk analysis
• Dealing with insolvency cases
• Managing colleagues, workloads and deadlines

You will have strong Excel skills as well as confidence using SAGE. Strong communication abilities as well as experience in dealing with board members would also be an advantage.
