Finance Manager

Description

A leading SME based in the heart of the Ribble Valley are looking for FC who is capable of maintaining high standards of financial reporting, control and management whilst making a significant commercial and operational contribution to overall performance and growth strategy of the business.

The role will be to support the Head of Finance in the day to day operations of the finance function, including supplier management and credit control. Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping transactions
• Production of weekly and monthly management accounts
• To assist with the preparation of the financial statements
• To manage the Sales and Purchase Ledgers
• Credit control
• To run the monthly payroll for internal staff, including calculating monthly and quarterly commission payments
• To process monthly staff expenses
• To carry out month end reconciliations of key accounts
• Maintain a strong company financial positon and development of robust commercial and financial processes.
• Weekly cashflow forecasting
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Handling monthly accruals and prepayments
• Proven strong financial control, process development and modelling skills.

Ideally you will be a part qualified ACCA/ CIMA Accountant who has gained analytical experience combined with a strong commercial insight. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
