Cost Accountant

Description

CIMA Qualified Accountant is being sought for a leading manufacturing organisation on the Fylde Coast. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller this post will act as the site contact for all finance related activity including maintaining, producing and analysing figures and reports.

• Monitoring of actual costs against standard and reporting and investigation of variances
• Assist in the calculation of machine hourly cost rates
• Preparation of weekly/monthly management reports on product profitability
• Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts
• Liaise with other departments to produce recommendations for margin improvement
• Preparation and monitoring of stock provisions
• Monitor perpetual inventory counting
• Attendance and assistance in the full stock take function
• Preparation and investigation of stock take variances
• Review and appraisal of computer system
• Preparation of year-end supporting schedules for internal and external audit
• Preparation of data to assist budget-setting and forecasting processes
