Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator

My client in Bury are looking to recruit a Bookkeeper to join their successful and growing cloud accounting team, providing real time bookkeeping services to numerous clients covering many diverse sectors.

Providing support to the administration team as and when required, along with face-to-face client contact and payroll services to a quality client base in Bury and surrounding regions, you will deal with a small portfolio of clients and assist the team where required.

Core responsibilities:

  • Daily inputting and management of supplier invoices and reconciling of transactions in Xero
  • Constant client contact to ensure that transactions are up to date daily and bookkeeping is in real-time
  • Credit control procedures for clients
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly payroll for clients
  • Preparation, review and completion of VAT Returns
  • Preparation of accounts from incomplete records

Previous bookkeeping and payroll experience, in particular use of Xero would be advantageous, as well as excellent time management and organisational skills to complete tasks fully and on time.
