Description
A global manufacturing company based in Blackpool are looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant. With great commuter links to the M55 the Assistant Management Accountant will play a key part in the finance team assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Payroll and Year End Audit.
Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will be ambitious and keen to progress and the Assistant Management Accountant can expect study support towards ACCA/CIMA qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Assistant with preparation of monthly management accounts
- Month-end accounting, including accruals, prepayments, journal postings
- Maintain of Fixed Asset Register and depreciation postings
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Credit card statement reconciliation and posting
- Monthly payroll preparation, including expenses and commission calculations
- Support on preparation of annual P11D's, PSA Returns and R&D Claims
- Support on preparation of VAT returns
- Preparation of ad hoc reports
- Support Management Accountant with internal and external audit
- Support with budgeting and forecasting
Experience and Qualifications
- AAT qualified (or equivalent) with desire to work towards ACCA/CIMA (Full study support and mentoring provided)
- 2+ years' experience in finance related role
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong Excel skills, (Pivot Tables, vlookup, etc)
