A leading logistics company working both in the UK and Internationally has an exciting opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their Preston Head Office based in Bamber Bridge. They will be working on the road transporting and warehousing operation and will be reporting directly to the Finance Director.

Your responsibilities:

· Processing 1000-1200 invoices per month

· Processing purchase orders including matching to purchase orders

· Weekly supplier BACS runs

· Ledger reconciliation

· First point of contact for supplier queries and resolving those queries

· Ensuring all invoices have purchase orders

· Control of month-end routines and cut off

· Assisting in covering holidays for other members of staff

Person Specification:

· Previous experience in the Purchase Ledger role

· Being highly organised and adaptable

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

· Team player

In return you will receive:

· Salary £21,000- £23,000
