I am currently working with a client based in the Preston Area. They are looking for an HR Advisor with strong HR knowledge to join the busy HR department. The successful candidate will mostly be focused on assisting the HR Manager with recruitment and selection, handling ER matters such as resolving employee grievances, updating and implementing HR policies to improve the HR function as a whole and advising staff on general HR enquiries as a main POC. They are looking for someone who enjoys a dynamic role and can multi task effectively across a range of HR duties.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting preliminary interviews with applicants and recommending applicants to the HR Manager
- Develop HR policies to benefit the HR function and ensure all procedures are legally complaint
- Interpret laws and procedures relevant to human resources
- Provide technical advice to the company on a range of ER matters and act as a POC for general enquiries
- Submitting DBS checks for new starters and liaising with the administrator to ensure all necessary induction documents are completed according to the recruitment deadlines
- Managing the employee benefits, maternity processes and exit interviews
What the ideal applicant will possess:
- A CIPD Level 3 qualification or direct experience in HR advisory
- Strong knowledge of HR law and practice
- Personable and confident in your approach and suggestions to improvements within HR
- IT literate and excellent attention to detail
- Passionate about actively improving the employee experience within the company
