Job Title: Sales and Purchase Ledger Clerk
Salary: £25,000
Location: Central Manchester
Agility is delighted to be working with a very well-established law firm based in Central Manchester. They are looking for a Sales and Purchase edger Clerk to join their growing team.
You will be joining an Accounts team of 7 and reporting into the Finance Manager and Assistant Accountant. You will be responsible for the sales and purchase ledger for a busy Solicitors Practice which includes client drafting invoices, posting purchase invoices, disbursements and queries.
This company is looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and approachable person as this role is high-profile and will involve interaction with both financial and non-financial people across the business.
What you will be doing:
- Managing the sales ledger process to ensure that invoices are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitoring the sales ledger inbox to determine which requests to prioritise.
- Preparation of purchase ledger payment runs and management of any supplier queries.
- Posting purchase ledger and disbursement invoices that are sent to the team.
- Preparation of reconciliations, reports and ad hoc information as reasonably requested.
- Undertake any further work, tasks or projects as reasonably requested by the Finance Manager or Assistant Accountant. Complete the same to the required standards and within agreed timescales.

- Applicants must have relevant experience of the role and experience of working within a busy office environment.
- Knowledge and experience of the operation of a legal services business is highly desirable as is knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules.
