My client is a well established Lancaster organisation, who are, due to a restructure looking to recruit a Head Of Finance. Reporting to the Chairman, this will be a "No 1" position in finance and take responsibility for the overall finance function of the organisation.

As Head of Finance, you will be a Qualified (ACCA / CIMA) Accountant and have at least 5 years heading up a finance function. You will be key player on the SMT and will have a confidence to "hit the ground running"

Duties will include :

  • To provide strategic leadership of the Finance and services for the organisation
  • To ensure that the Group resources are managed efficiently, ethically and professionally conforming to all internal and external regulations and being ultimately responsible for the proper financial conduct of the Group.
  • To be responsible for ensuring the completion of the monthly management accounts, annual statutory accounts, financial returns and reports in accordance with guidance and externally determined deadlines
  • To provide strategic guidance and advice on all the Group finances and all financial matters relating to the group to the Group CEO, Leadership Team and Management Team, including setting and achieving high standards for the use of resources and value for money.
  • To support the digital transformation agenda in relation to finance and be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of financial and accounting systems and procdures
  • To be the primary point of contact for all aspects of funding and financial/statutory returns
  • Oversee the preparation of the Group's annual financial forecasts and budgets, forecast for corporate strategies and plans in consultation with the Group CEO and Leadership Team and developing and implementing strategies for maximising the Group finances.

The organisation has recently gone through a system implementation (SAGE) and it is expected that this position will take the lead in rolling out the system across the department.

About You :

Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly desirable.


Extensive experience in financial management and strategic finance.
Strong leadership and management skills.

Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
