Assistant Accountant

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join one of Cumbria's leading organisation.

This role is being offered on a 6 month contract basis working on a hybrid model (2 days office - 3 days home) and my client is looking for an immediate start.

As the Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for the following :

• Completion of high volume bank account reconciliations.

• Journaling onto Sage system, retaining audit trail

• Review of current reconciliation process

• Review and reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts as part of month end process to strict deadlines

The ideal candidate will be qualified to AAT Level 4 and the successful candidate will have the ability to "hit the ground running" This is busy department and therefore at times there are requirements to assist in other areas to ensure deadlines are bein met.
