Assistant Accountant

An excellent opportunity has emerged for a seasoned Assistant Accountant to become part of one of Cumbria's prominent organizations.

This position is available as a 6-month contract, operating on a hybrid model (2 days in the office and 3 days working from home), with an immediate start expected with the potential for the role to become permanent.

As the Assistant Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

• Completing bank account reconciliations.
• Journaling onto the Sage system, ensuring the retention of an audit trail.
• Evaluating the current reconciliation process.
• Reviewing and reconciling key balance sheet accounts as part of the month-end process, adhering to strict deadlines.

The ideal candidate will hold a qualification to AAT Level 4 and possess the capability to "hit the ground running." Given the dynamic nature of this department, there may be occasions when assistance in other areas is required to meet deadlines.
