Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating closely with the Head of Finance to develop board packs, fostering accountability and aiding decision-making.
- Generating management accounts, conducting variance and trend analysis.
- Monitoring and reporting on monthly stock audits, identifying discrepancies and potential shortages.
- Ensuring monthly balance sheet reconciliations are accurate, investigating differences.
- Investigating manufacturing variances and assisting with audits and statutory accounts.
- Producing weekly sales reports, aligning with forecast/budget.
- Preparing quarterly VAT/Plastic Packaging returns and enhancing accounting processes.
- Taking ownership of product costings and contributing to cashflow statements.
- Developing profitability reports for customers and products.
- Overseeing Credit Control/Purchase Ledger management and providing cover for annual leave.
Successful Candidate:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with relevant professional experience.
- Previous exposure to month-end duties, including reconciliation and variance analysis.
- Driven to develop and learn, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Analytical thinker with problem-solving capabilities.
