Finance & Operations Manager
£40,000pa DoE
Manchester 1 day WFH per week
We are looking for a Finance and Operations Manager to join one of Manchester's most dynamic companies, You will have experience in a similar role overseeing daily operations and providing internal support for the business on accounts and HR.
If you are
- A proactive person by nature, extremely organised, with a keen eye for detail;
- Experienced with Microsoft Office 365 and Xero Accounting.
- A great communicator, fluent in written & spoken English.
- Enthusiastic, driven, and a team player.
- Have a bachelor's degree in business administration, accountancy, or a related field
You day will consist of
- Xero - Invoicing, credit control, reconciliation.
- Overseeing the company and interrelated bank accounts and day to day payments;
- Payroll management & pension scheme.
- Main contact between the company and the external accountants, providing assistance/answering queries for the preparation of VAT returns, monthly management accounts etc.
- Review and approve invoices for payment and set up monthly supplier pay runs.
- Managing office costs and credit card spending.
- Overseeing high-level HR duties.
- Arrange and be present in interviews with the head of the relevant department.
- Manage the onboarding process including Right to Work checks, set up with payroll, drafting employment contracts.
- Manage annual leave requests and sick leave.
- Take ownership of the Staff Handbook and update policies when necessary.
