The Role
As a Graduate Accounts Assistant, you will gain hands-on experience in a broad range of accounting tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, grow your skills, and start working towards a professional qualification such as ACCA or AAT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and VAT submissions.
- Maintaining accurate client accounts and records.
- Supporting senior accountants with audits and financial reporting.
- Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide excellent service.
- Performing bank reconciliations and assisting with payroll processing.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.
What We're Looking For:
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Desire to pursue a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, AAT, etc.).
