Overview:

On behalf of our client, a well-established and growing organisation based in the Bradford area, we are currently recruiting for a professionally qualified Finance Manager to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual looking to take ownership of a finance function within a supportive and forward-thinking business.

The Role:

Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting while contributing to the company's overall strategic goals. This is a hands-on role that would suit a commercially aware finance professional with excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of monthly management accounts, reporting, and analysis

  • Budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting

  • Statutory reporting and compliance with all relevant financial regulations

  • Cash flow management and financial planning

  • Leading a small finance team, providing support and development

  • Business partnering with internal stakeholders to support commercial decisions

  • Working closely with external auditors and managing the year-end audit process

  • Identifying process improvements and driving efficiencies across the finance function

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

  • Strong technical accounting background

  • Proven experience in a similar finance role, ideally within an SME or owner-managed business environment

  • Comfortable working both strategically and operationally

  • High level of proficiency with financial systems and Excel

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels
